Frequent ear cleaning is not necessary for every cat. Always clean your cat’s ears only under veterinary instruction🩺. Over-cleaning irritates the ear canal and increases the risk of inflammation and secondary infectionāš ļø.

Cats have delicate, curved ear canals with high sensitivity. Care must be gentle and calm to avoid stress or injury.

āœ… Correct Cleaning Method

- Apply a suitable amount of veterinary ear cleaner gently into the ear canalšŸ’§

- Softly massage the base of the ear to dissolve debris; keep movements gentle to avoid startling your catšŸ”‰āœ…

- Pat dry only the outer ear, then let your cat shake their head to remove residual fluid naturallyšŸ’¦

āŒ Never do this

- Avoid using cotton buds deep inside the ear canal. It may cause ear injury, eardrum damage and leave cotton residue, leading to chronic irritation and recurring ear problems😣.

āš ļø Seek vet consultation immediately if:

Your cat shows frequent ear scratching, head shaking, foul odour, excessive discharge or redness🦠. Fit an e-collar promptly and consult your vet for early treatment to prevent condition worseningšŸ‘©šŸ»āš•ļøšŸ©ŗ.
