š¾š¤¢ Dog Vomiting: What Dog Parents Need To Know š¾
Dogs have a sensitive vomiting reflex too. While the occasional vomit can be normal, any frequent or unusual vomiting is not something to brush off.
Let's break down the risk levels of what your dog brings up:
š“ HIGH RISK (See vet immediately)
- Red / black vomit
- Suspected ingestion of foreign objects (socks, toys, bones)
- Continuous, non-stop vomiting or unproductive retching
š” MEDIUM RISK
- Dark yellow or green vomit (bile)
- Vomiting paired with diarrhoea
š¢ LOW RISK (Monitor closely)
- Bile after fasting (empty stomach)
- Undigested food
- White / yellow foam
Home care is NOT a replacement for veterinary treatment. If you are unsure, always get your dog checked early to avoid serious complications.
