When your cat brings up whole undigested food, it is often regurgitation, not true vomiting 🛑. The top cause is rapid gulping, common in multi‑cat households. Swallowed air stretches the oesophagus and stomach, usually triggering episodes 10–30 minutes after eating.

Feed smaller, frequent meals. Use slow feeders or puzzle feeders. Separate cats during mealtime. Avoid active play or large water intake for 30 minutes after meals. For one single episode with normal energy and appetite: briefly withhold food then offer small bland meals.
