Notice your fur baby drinking/peeing excessively? This

can be a sign called PUPD (Polyuria + Polydipsia) –

NEVER “just aging”!

Red Flag 🚨: >100ml/kg/day (5kg dog >500ml) or >50

ml/kg/day urine (5kg dog >250ml) = NOT NORMAL.

✅ DOs:

• Track water/urine intake (mark bowls, count potty

trips)

• Record behavior changes (night potty, indoor

accidents)

• Seek vet care immediately – don’t wait!

❌ DON’Ts:

• No water restriction (dehydration worsens organ

damage)

• No self-medication (human drugs = toxic)

• Don’t dismiss as “just aging” (delays kill)

PUPD signals kidney disease, diabetes, Cushing’s, or

thyroid issues. Early detection saves lives! 💛‼️Save

this guide and share it with fellow pet parents to

safeguard our fur babies' health together! 🐾‼️
