Frequent ear cleaning is not necessary for every dog. Always clean your dog’s ears only under veterinary instruction🩺. Over-cleaning irritates the ear canal and increases the risk of inflammation and secondary infectionāš ļø.

Dogs have a unique L-shaped ear canal. Proper care requires cleaning both the outer ear and ear canal safely to avoid improper handling.

āœ… Correct Cleaning Method

1. Apply a suitable amount of veterinary ear cleaner into the ear canalšŸ’§

2. Gently massage under the ear to dissolve debris; a squeaking sound confirms correct techniquešŸ”‰āœ…

3. Pat dry only the outer ear, then let your dog shake their head to remove residual fluid naturallyšŸ’¦

āŒ Never do this

Avoid using cotton buds deep inside the ear canal. It may cause ear trauma, eardrum damage and leave cotton residue, leading to persistent irritation and recurring ear issues😣.

āš ļø Seek vet consultation immediately if:

Your dog shows frequent ear scratching, head shaking, foul odour or abnormal discharge🦠. Fit an e-collar promptly and consult your vet for early treatment to prevent condition worseningšŸ‘©šŸ»āš•ļøšŸ©ŗ.

Professional daily ear care keeps your dog comfortable and healthy šŸ’–šŸ¾Feel free to contact us for any pet health enquiries šŸ“žšŸ’¬
