Knowing your pet’s body condition is the first step to keeping them healthy! An ideal weight isn’t ā€œchubbyā€ or overweight — it means having the right balance of fat and muscle.

āœ… Signs of a healthy body condition:

  • Ribs can be easily felt but not seen prominently

  • A visible waist when viewed from above

  • A slight tummy tuck behind the ribs

šŸ” Feeding for a healthy body condition:Keep your pet healthy by feeding the right amount. Start with the feeding guide on your pet food package — it shows how much to feed based on your pet’s ideal weight. These are general guidelines, so adjust portions according to your pet’s age, activity level, and health. Use a measuring cup or scale to portion food accurately. Avoid overfeeding or underfeeding to support your pet’s wellbeing.

šŸ’” Senior pets or those with chronic conditions often require special diets—always consult your vet before making any changes. When switching food, do so gradually over at least 2 weeks to avoid digestive upset.
