Canine distemper is a highly contagious and often fatal viral disease 🚨 that attacks the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems of dogs. It can occur year-round, with unvaccinated puppies and young dogs at highest risk.

The virus spreads through droplets, secretions, and contaminated environments — and neurological damage is often permanent.

The most effective prevention recommended by vets:

āœ… Keep core vaccinations up to date — vaccination is the safest and most reliable protection against distemper šŸ’‰

āœ… Avoid contact with unvaccinated or sick dogs

āœ… Maintain hygiene and support immune health

There is no cure for distemper, only supportive treatment. Prevention is always better than cure.
