Dogs instinctively hide discomfort and pain — subtle facial and body changes are often the only early warning signs.

Tense facial muscles, squinted eyes, flattened or backward angled ears, retracted whiskers, low energy, withdrawn behaviour, altered appetite and reduced movement all signal ongoing pain and distress in dogs.

Never overlook quiet pain signals. If you notice any unusual physical or behavioural changes in your dog, seek prompt veterinary care right away. Early evaluation and targeted treatment stop mild discomfort from becoming chronic pain, slow underlying illness, and preserve your dog’s daily comfort and quality of life.

Early pain recognition = faster relief, less suffering, and long-term wellbeing for your pup.
